1. When did you have your first experience with this kind of music?
d-nox: when i was around 12 years old, there was one song always played at the radio, it had this crazzy femal groaning and this hynotic piano hookline. The track I was listening to was Lil Louise – Frence Kiss. Another song which I wont forget from this time was Mars – Pump Up The Volume. My first contact with Techno Parties I had a cupple of years later when I was around 16 years old.
2. When did you decide to mix and make music? What moved you to start?
d-nox: I was already djing when I 12 years old. Me and my friend we used to organise school parties and of course we were also responsible for the music. I always felt like doing this. Showing other people my musical taste and see their reaction and of course makem dance.
3. Can you tell us a little about what type of music you like to do and what are your influences?
d-nox: I like many different kinds of music which is also where I get my influences from. I never got stucked in one direction or style. I love the oportunity of playing different styles, like this it never gets boring. My main influence of course are the last 15 years of listening to electronic music, traveling and seeing lots of things around me.
4. Besides D-nox, what other projects you have?
d-nox: only d-nox and my private life
5. In your opinion what international artists are making quality sounds or making the best music?
d-nox: wow, there are always to many artist to mention. I´m a big fan of Jamie Stevens (Infusion) or Martin Buttrich (Loco Dice & Timo Maas producer). Also I like a lot the sound of Beckers, in my opinion he is a genius and I´m very happy about working together with him.
6. How do you find world wide music now and where does you think it’s going?
d-nox: I´m addicted to beatport. Thats my main source. Also I´m in contact with many artist, this way I get some tracks before they get released. I like the option we got thru the internet. Now our music gets everywhere in the world and not only to some special recordstores in major cities or contries.
7. Could you tell us a little about your new plans? Where are you going to play this summer?
d-nox: well my schedule is full, no more free dates. I will be almost everywhere. I have Barsil, Japan, Ibiza, Germany, Italy, Greece and other contries to go to. I´ll be playing first time at Space Club in Ibiza aswell at Pacha Club in Sao Paulo. Beside this I will play some trance festivals too, as there are: Sonica or Butterfly.
Since me and beckers just released the album we will not spend to much time in the studio. I think we will be working on a mix cd for the beginning of next year 2008. Beside this we will work on some remixes but thats all.
8. What is your opinion of Mexican artists?
d-nox: I dont know so many mexican artist. I respect Karlos Elizondro as a good dj. But producer wise I didnt find so many interesting names yet. But I love to play in Mexico, I find the public very open.
9. Talking about projects you just released, tell us about your last tracks
d-nox: Yes as i just said, me and Beckers we just released our first Album called “Left Behind”. It is out since a few weeks and its going very well. Please check it out. D-Nox & Beckers – Left Behind
